Frequently Asked Questions

What primary services do you offer?

Nature groups for children ages 3-6 with and without abilities in outdoor setting. Groups are NOT occupational therapy sessions and your child will participate in general activities planned for the group. Although I may target skills such as fine motor, sensory, and more, these skills will not be worked on specific to your child.

1:1 OT sessions coming soon.  The 1:1 sessions will begin with a full evaluation to create a plan of care and specific goals to address your child’s needs. You will receive a written evaluation and plan. You will receive progress reports. Currently this practice is private pay and a superbill can be provided upon request.

What do you specialize in?

I have been working in the schools preschool through High School age, with 10 years of experience under my belt. I am starting with targeting ages 3-6, and may expand to older ages in the future. If you are interested in an older age group, send me an email so that I know there is interest! I can save your information and email you if a group opens in your child’s age range.

For children with disabilities, I think that children with autism, anxiety, ADHD, or any child who is wiggly and needs the extra movement could highly benefit!  Children of all abilities are welcome and you can contact me to discuss the possibilities for your child. We provide therapy in a unique and engaging environment to improve attention, sensory processing, fine motor skills, balance & coordination, strength, and problem solving.

What are the rates of your services?

See services page for pricing and options.

What are nature-based groups or therapy ?

I am trained in the ConTiGO Approach (Connection & Transformation in the Great Outdoors) which is a practice model to guide nature-based occupational therapy intervention for children.  Nature-based therapy focuses on using nature as a co-facilitator to provide skilled therapy sessions in a unique and engaging setting.  It is a child-led approach utilizing all the benefits of nature.

Are you licensed?

Yes!  I am an OTR/L meaning I am licensed and registered to practice occupational therapy in the state of Ohio.

Do you accept insurance?

At this time, Wild & Free OT, LLC is a private pay (or cash-based) service.  I do not bill insurance, but can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance (only available for 1:1 OT sessions). Ask for more details.

Are all groups outdoors?

The program is primarily held outside, although, we may have access to some of the buildings at the Richfield Heritage Preserve to use the bathrooms, get changed, or in case of extreme weather. Groups are held rain or shine, so come prepared and dressed for the weather!
